Carl Glenn Elder

Carl Glenn Elder, 49, of Toone, died Saturday evening, March 25, 2006 at Bolivar General Hospital.



A native of Hardeman County, he was the son of Mary Ann Elder of Toone and the late Carlous Elder, Jr. He was a member of the Bolivar 1st United Pentecostal Church and a talented musician, both singing and playing the guitar. He was very out going, being described by his family, whom he loved very much, as "never having met a stranger".



Services were 3:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Tim Bryant and Tim Petersen officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.



In addition to his mother, he leaves as his survivors his step-mother, Betty Elder of Pinson; his sister, Susan Ann Burkeen and her husband, Billy, of Bolivar; two brothers and their wives, Calvin L. and Tiffany Elder and Kenneth Earl and Peggy Elder, all of Toone. He also leaves twelve nieces and nephews.
