CALLIE BLANCHE HINTON QUALLS
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on December 21, 1923 the daughter of the late Arthur Lee and Dolly D. Smith Hinton.
On December 24, 1939 she was united in marriage to Kenneth Asberry Qualls, who preceded his wife in death on March 12, 1988.
Mrs. Qualls lived in the Walkertown community all of her life. She retired from Brown Shoe Factory. After retiring she ironed for many people until last year. She thought of her customers as family. Mrs. Qualls enjoyed working on the farm with Kenneth, where they raised all types of livestock and she named each one. She was also involved in row cropping on the farm which is a major part of the farm operation. Mrs. Qualls was a long life member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She departed this life on January 26, 2016 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 5 days.
Mrs. Qualls is survived by her children, Judy Faye Harris and her husband L. C. of Savannah, Tennessee, Frances Jordan and her husband Tommy of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee and Kenneth Ray Qualls and his wife Ruby of Savannah, Tennessee.
10 grandchildren, Glen "Peanut" Scott, Tammy Sanders, Keith Scott, Tony Pipkins, Lisa Southern, Johnny Harris, Kelly Locklear, Dooley Qualls, Shane Connor and Amy Griggs
14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren
Mrs. Qualls is also survived by her loving companion cat, Mollie Socks.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Billie Joyce Qualls Scott and Patsy Ann Qualls Finley, six sisters, Elise Clement, Aleen Adkisson, Pauline Higgins, Hester Lee Scott, Jo Fielder and Betty Sue Battles, four brothers, Otis Hinton, Billy Guy Hinton and two infant brothers and two great grandchildren, Casey Lee Harris and Kylie Harris
