Funeral services for Burl M Smith were held at 1 o:clock on June 3, 2004 at Shackelford Chapel, Adamsville with Rev. Steven Callicoatt officiating and Bob Smith doing the eulogy. Burial in Adamsville Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died May 31st at his residence.
He was owner/operator for more than 40 years for Smith Furniture Co. in Adamsville. He was a member of Adamsville First United Methodist Church, Veteran of the United States Army Air Force and served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Louise M. Smith of Adamsville, one son David Smith and wife Linda of Denver Co., sister Martha Hays of Lexington and one brother Coleman Smith of Adamsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Lissie Short Smith, one sister Mary Lee Lumpkin and a brother Page Smith.
