Burgess McCasland

BURGESS F. McCASLANDwas born October 27, 1918 in Olive Hill, Tennessee, son of the late AndrewFranklin and Nina Annie Wilson McCasland.On December 20, 1941 he was united in marriage to Gilberta Phillips.Mr. McCasland was a heavy equipment operator for the Hardin County Highway Department. He was a member of the Savannah church of Christ, an Army Veteran. He loved gardening and collecting John Deere Collectables.Mr. McCasland departed this life April 10, 2009 at the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 14 days.He leaves his wife, Gilberta of Savannah, Tennessee.2 daughters - Inez Gilkey and her husband Bob - Savannah and Sheryl Wolfe and her husband Danny also of Savannah, Tennessee.1 son - Kerry B. McCasland and his wife Pam of Crump, Tennessee.6 grandchildren - Kent Gilkey, Dana Gilkey Spindler, Shannon Gilkey Shaw, Allison and Jessica Wolfe and Jonathan McCasland.6 great grandchildren - Will and Jacob Shaw, Jessica and Megan Stoughton, Austin Spindler, and Hayden Climer.2 sisters Ruby Wright - Savannah, Tennessee and Sue Harris and her husband Winford of Savannah Tennessee.He was preceded in death by 2 brothers - John and Grady McCasland.
