Buford Lassiter

Buford Lassiter was born February 4, 1921 in Pocahontas, Tennessee the son of the late William Ing (Bill) and Rebecca Quilla Shannon Lassiter.He was united in marriage to Claudia Stevens on May 4, 1946. Mrs. Lassiter preceded him in death on January 25, 1996. Mr. Lassiter was a retired factory worker and farmer. He was also a member of the Tuscumbia Baptist Church for 46 years.Mr. Lassiter proudly served in the United States Army during World War II, where he was awarded the Silver Star and Good Conduct Medal.Mr. Lassiter departed this life on September 7, 2006 in Corinth, Mississippi, at the age of 85 Years, 7 Months, 3 Days. He is survived by six nieces and three nephews, and his good friends Kat and Carolyn.In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Lassiter was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
