BRO. PAUL HOOD
was born in Blackland, Mississippi on August 8, 1939 the son of the late William Edgar and Willie Mae Samples Hood.
On September 12, 1963 he was united in marriage to the former Bonnie Marie Darby, who survives.
Bro. Hood was a retired machinist for VAN-D-EE in Batavia, Illinois. He was Pastor of Canaan Apostolic Church, United Pentecostal Church in Rozelle, Illinois. Bro. Hood was a member of the United Pentecostal Church Organization for 42 years. He was a past Master for Masonic Lodge #90 in Aurora, Illinois from 1977 to 1979. Bro. Hood enjoyed singing, playing musical instruments, spending time with his family and grandchildren and he enjoyed life. He had a very special relation with his sister Sarah Wilson.
Bro. Hood departed this life on May 27, 2008 at his residence in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 19 days.
Other than his wife, Bonnie Marie Hood of Adamsville, Tennessee, he is survived by one son, Paul Andrew Hood and his wife Kim of Adamsville, Tennessee.
5 grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Hood, Chrystal Hood, Amanda Nicole Hood, Ashanta Dubson and Lena Dubson
one great-grandchild, Zander Lee Hood
2 sisters, Sarah Wilson of Paragould, Arkansas and Lavelle Reed of McDonough, Georgia
3 brothers, Jerry Hood of Bono, Arkansas, Boots Hood of Paragould, Arkansas and Don Hood of Jonesboro, Arkansas
Bro. Hood was also preceded in death by one sister, Jennie Winn and one brother, Bill Hood
