Mrs. Young passed away Friday morning at her home.
The widow of Jimmie Wayne Young, who died October 15, 2002, she was a homemaker. She was born December 6, 1939 in Hardeman County to the late Martin Enloe Gibson and Annie Virginia Irwin Gibson and lived here since 2005. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoyed playing golf.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Philip W. and Terri Young of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Michelle Cowell, Matthew Philip Young, Thomas C. Alexander; a brother, Steve Gibson of Toone; a sister, Katie Orelia Williams of Phoenix, AZ; and three great grandchildren, Joseph and Philip Cowell, Neelie Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Winnifred Gibson Siler and Catherine Inez Hayley.
