Brenda Stewart

Brenda was born July 16, 1950, in Jackson, TN to the late Luther Otis and Hazel Pauline Lewis Neisler. Her family later moved to Marion, IN. She attended and graduated from Marion High School in 1968. She later went on to study Paralegal at Ball State, while raising her two sons. Brenda returned to TN, as her parents came back here for medical care. She then went to cosmetology school. After graduating she went to work for Eva Ruth & Co. in Henderson. She went on to teach cosmetology at the Hair Design School of Jackson. During her cosmetology career she also Managed Supercuts in Bartlett, TN, and Regis Salon in the Old Hickory Mall in Jackson.  

Brenda loved to shop whether it be in a department store, thrift store, or a yard sale. She loved crafting and quilting. She made quilts for three of her grandchildren and one of the great grandchildren. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in sports and was the best cheerleader and supporter. She was a lover of animals, especially dogs. Over the years she owned several different breeds. They were all loved and spoiled beyond measure.  

Brenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law, and friend.  

Brenda was such a pleasure to be around. She had a great personality and sense of humor. She was loved by all who knew her.  

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her husband, James Todd Stewart of Henderson; two sons, Tommy Hannah, of Jackson and Brian (Melody) Hannah of Henderson; six grandchildren Frank, Chasity, Tristen, Brenlee, Austin, and Kasyn; two great grandchildren Bentley and Braxton; and a sister Betty (Bill) Chapman of Defiance, OH.  

Friends and family are welcome to join the Memorial service held at A New Beginning church, April 1st, 2023 at 2 pm. The address is 938 Sol Coston Rd. Finger, TN 38334.
