Brenda J. Huckabee Rankin

Brenda J. Huckabee Rankin departed this life on August 12, 2016 at her home in Selmer at the age of 72 Years, 9 Months, 24 Days. She was born October 19, 1943 in Selmer the daughter of the late Foy T. and Dalphine Weatherford Huckabee. She was united in marriage to Bill Rankin on October 24, 1964.

Mrs. Rankin was a member of Selmer First Baptist Church. She was the first Director of the McNairy County Carl Perkins Center and a longtime volunteer with Jesus Cares. She was a recepient of the Woodmen of the World "Hometown Hero" award for her various volunteer work. She formerly served on the Selmer Planning Commission.

Brenda is survived by her husband Bill Rankin of Selmer, TN; two sons, John Rankin and wife Regina and Jason Rankin and wife Martha, all of Selmer; five grandchildren, Charlie Rankin, Clay Rankin, Jared Rankin, Caleb Rankin, Westin Rankin; a brother, Bradley Huckabee and wife Yvonne of Selmer; a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rankin was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Matt Rankin and Luke Rankin.
