BRENDA COOPER

Henderson, TN: Brenda Carol Stack Cooper age 75, passed away April 20, 2021 at Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 9, 1946 in Silerton, TN, the daughter of the late Gilbert Aaron and Lois Mildred Holloway Stack. She grew up in Silerton and attended Bolivar Central High School.

She was primarily a homemaker but also worked as a teacher’s aide at Toone and Bolivar Elementary schools and then worked as a caretaker/sitter. She loved people and never met a stranger. A member of Silerton Baptist Church, she loved her church and enjoyed keeping the nursery. She enjoyed raising flowers and loved family gatherings and keeping the family together.

She married Robert Walter Cooper on June 28, 1997. They made their home in Montezuma.

Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband, Robert Walter Cooper of Henderson; a son, Thomas (Tommy) Lynn Naylor (Dujuana) of Hornsby and a stepson, Chris Caven Cooper (Derrith) of Henderson; four grandchildren, Thomas Cody Naylor (Brittany), Sarah Brooke Naylor, Hailey Raymond and Peyton Cooper and five great grandchildren, Ramsey Naylor, Aurea Raymond, Shayne Raymond, Cooper King, Kenna King and another one on the way; a brother, Gilbert Lee Stack (Frances) of Toone and Grady Alfred Stack (Carolyn) of Silerton and four sisters, Ann Hinson of Henderson, Mary Lynn Lambert (Frankie) of Henderson; Betty Burnett (Edmon) of Huntsville, AL and Janice Emerson (Steve) of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Bobby Hinson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 23rd at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Charlie Crouthers, Bob Gipson and Roger Hatch officiating.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5 PM until 8 PM on Thursday.
