Mr. Sipes passed away Tuesday night at his home in Bolivar.
The husband of Barbara Sipes, who survives, he was a line locator for the City of Bolivar Gas Department. Mr. Sipes was born October 11, 1947 in Hardeman County to the late Willie Thomas Sipes and Dorothy Richie Sipes and lived all of his life here. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 9, 1965, he is survived by a daughter and her husband, Tracy Bryant and Steve of Bolivar; a son and his wife, Scotty Sipes and Mandy of Bolivar; a brother, Lloyd Sipes of Bolivar; and five grandchildren, Cody Sipes, Justin Bryant, Austin Sipes, Kyle Sipes and Tori Sipes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Vales.
