He was born in Chester County, the son of the late Ivy Franklin and Annie Katherine Howell Richardson. He attended school at Pinson and graduated South Side High School in 1966. He entered the army in 1968 and served in Vietnam from July 1969 until 1970. He was married to Elaine Henry and they made their home in Jackson where he worked for Jackson Edwards Bag and later International Paper Company. He was in the bag business in Texas, Illinois, Kentucky and other states until 1995 when they returned to Henderson. He worked for Graham Snack Foods and later for Neo Products for the past ten years. He was married to Robin Elizabeth Hurst in 2005 and they made their home at Bethel Springs.He is survived by his wife; Robin Elizabeth Richardson of Bethel Springs; two sons, Brian Richardson of Jackson and Justin Richardson of Henderson; two daughters, Rebecca Maness of Luray and Jordan Richardson of Bethel Springs and a step son, Josh Maness of Bethel Springs; seven grandchildren; Addison Lynn, Dairian Nichole, Kelly Leann, Stephanie Cheyenne, Dakota Glenn, Ashleigh Danielle and Autumn Michelle; a brother, Donald Ray Richardson of Strasburg, VA and a sister, Patricia Ann Patton of Corona, CA.
