Bobby Gene Mayfield

Bobby Gene Mayfield, 72, of Bolivar, died Friday, July 15,2005 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Barbara Mayfield, he was employed by the Federal Government for twelve years while living in Albuquerque, N. Mexico before he returned to the Hardeman County area operating convenience stores for 30 years. Mr. Mayfield was born March 6, 1933 in Bolivar, TN, son of Bob and Mary Wiggins Mayfield. Bobby Gene served in the Korean Conflict and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Services were 10 am Monday, July 18, 2005 at Shackelford's chapel in Bolivar with Tim Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery with Andy Hall, Kevin Hall, Adam Mayfield, Jeff Eddie, Norman Johnson and Lee Wayne Vandiver serving as casket bearers.
In addition to his wife, Bobby Gene is survived by one brother, Jerry Mayfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeff & Kathy Eddie of Nashville, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Doug & Cathy Mayfield of Bolivar; four grandchildren, Nicki Howell of Toone, Adam Mayfield of Bolivar and Andy and Kevin Hall of Franklin, TN and one great grandchild, Mallory Howell of Toone, TN.
