Services for Bobby Rex Gray, Sr., age 66, of Waynesboro, TN will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Waynesboro, TN with Jerry McClain and Terry Springer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2007 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, March 10, 2007 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home. He died at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro on Thursday, March 8, 2007 after a brief illness.
Mr. Gray, a native of Decatur, AL, was a retired truck driver, a farmer, a member of Westpoint Baptist Church, a member of Crossroads of Dixie in Lawrenceburg, and Wayne County Tractor Club.
He was a son of the late Noble and Annie Mae Perry Gray.
Survivors, wife, Wanda Skimehorn Gray, Waynesboro, son, Bobby Rex Gray, Jr, and wife, Amy, of Lawrenceburg, stepson, Steve Staggs and wife, Paula of Waynesboro, stepdaughter, Angela Staggs Duren and husband, Michael of Waynesboro, grandson, Lucas Gray, step-grandsons, Nathan and Chad Duren, J. T. Staggs, step-granddaughter, Harley Staggs, sisters, Joyce Porter and husband, Tommy, Jean Burdett and husband, Dan, Gail Clayton and husband, Donnie, and Fannie Yarbrough all of Lawrenceburg, Ann Peters and husband, J. C., of Loretto, TN, Ruth Springer of Alabaster, AL, several nieces and nephews.
