Bobby Franklin Goad

June 29, 1940 — June 2, 2006

He was born in Otwell, AR on June 29, 1940 and reared in the Jonesboro area, the son of Retha Irene Roach Goad and the late John Paul Goad. He attended Valleyview High School in Jonesboro, AR and entered the U.S. Air Force at age 17 and finished High School and 2 years of College in the Air Force. While in the Air Force for 5 years he was an Aircraft Instrumentation technician stationed in the Philippines and in Nevada. He was married to Orfa Aranda in 1960. They resided most of their married life in Memphis and he worked as an Auto Body Shop Manager retiring in 1994. They moved to Henderson to the Montezuma Community in 1996. He was a Catholic.



He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was the patriarch of a family who loved and cherished him. His memory and love will live on through his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.



He is survived by his wife Orfa Aranda Goad of Henderson; his mother Retha Irene Roach Goad; three daughters Retha Fausett and husband Michael of Conway, AR, Virginia Matrisciano and husband Anthony of East Stroudsburg, PA and Donna Brignac and husband Larry of Enville; and seven grandchildren: Kristal Fausett, PFC Jonathon Fausett, Bobby Fausett, Victoria Matrisciano, Elizabeth Matrisciano, Samuel Matrisciano and Andrew Matrisciano; and three great grandchildren Christian Roe, Christopher Roe and Brian Thomas and also a sister Lois Smith and husband Donald of Cordova.
