BOBBY GENE FRANKS
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 6, 1937 the son of the late Carl O. and Annie Wilkerson Franks.
On June 9, 1956 he was united in marriage to Virgie Austin, who survives.
Mr. Franks worked for the City of Savannah. He also had worked for McKennon Bridge Company, Savannah Golf Course and was a self employed logger. Mr. Franks attended Peoples Tabernacle.
He departed this life on February 11, 2016 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 5 days.
In addition to his wife, Virgie of 59 years, he is survived by his children, Janie Luong and her husband Chien of Savannah, Tennessee, Norma Deatherage and her husband Jeff of Savannah, Tennessee, Crystal Clark and her husband Ray of Savannah, Tennessee and Donnie Franks and his wife Bridget of Savannah, Tennessee.
6 grandchildren, Chun Luong, Cesilie Stewart, Davey Stutts, Aleshia Webb, Patrick Graves and Logan Franks
8 great grandchildren
two brothers, Williad "Bill" Franks of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Joe Franks of Elkhart, Indiana
one sister, Barbara Shubert of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Franks and two brothers, Tommy Jack Franks and Odie Franks.
