Robert "Bobby" Clanton, III, a beloved figure known for his unwavering dedication to his family and community, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on June 18, 1945, at the Panama Canal, Bobby's journey brought him to Walnut, Mississippi, where he would spend the majority of his life and become a cherished member of the community.

Bobby spent his professional life working diligently building pallets and Coca-Cola cases for Clanton Pallet Factory and was also an over-the-road truck driver for the company. Later, he worked at Hankins Sawmill before retiring. His work ethic was a testament to his character, and he thrived not only in his jobs but also in his personal ventures. A man of many passions, Bobby found joy in riding four-wheelers, driving trucks, and above all, being surrounded by his family and adored dogs. He firmly believed that the simple pleasures of life were what truly mattered, and he reveled in every moment spent with his loved ones.

Throughout his years in Walnut, Bobby was an integral part of the Marlow Church of Christ, a place that provided him both spiritual nourishment and an extended family. His faith was a guiding light in his life, reflecting his values and the love he had for those around him.

Bobby leaves behind a loving family who will always hold him dear in their hearts. He is survived by his devoted wife, Terisa Ann Clanton; his children, Robert "Art" Clanton, IV & Jennifer Lynn of Collierville, Randy Allen Clanton & Sandra of Walnut and, Michelle Rogers & Jeff of Walnut, MS, He cherished his role as a father and took immense pride in his grandchildren, David Alan Clanton, Haley Brooke Clanton, Brittney Nicoal Clanton, Cody Allen Clanton & wife, Destinee, Dustin Keith Rogers, Colton Wade Rogers, and Jayden Levi Rogers, as well as his twelve great-grandchildren who filled his heart with joy.

Bobby is also survived by his siblings, including brother Lynch "Dick" Graves and Sherry of Humboldt, sisters Linda Brasket and Rosemary Graves Cleek of Jackson, along with a host of love from numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Arthur Clanton, II and step-mother, Bertha; his mother, Nancy Craig Graves, and several brothers and sisters who await his arrival in eternal peace.

The family will honor Bobby's memory with visitation services on November 24, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM and again on November 25, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Middleton, TN. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on November 25, 2024, at 1:00 PM, leading to interment at Marlow Cemetery in Walnut, MS at 3:00 PM.

Bobby's legacy of love, hard work, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. His kind spirit and cherished memories will be forever etched in the hearts of his family and friends.
