Bobby Franklin Beckham

Bobby Franklin Beckham, age 83 passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 in Nashville, TN. He was born in Wayne County, TN on April 30, 1941, the son of the late Morris Franklin and Mary Clara Wade Beckham.

In addition to his exemplary career as a farmer, Frank proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to his country. His service shaped him into the admirable person he became, instilling in him a strong sense of honor and duty.

Frank had a wide range of interests that enriched his life and those around him. He was an avid hunter who particularly enjoyed hunting squirrels and took great pleasure in trading and collecting guns. These hobbies not only reflected his adventurous spirit but also provided him with a connection to nature and an appreciation for the craft of hunting.

He is survived by his beloved sisters: Carolyn Sue Kelley and her husband Joe, Emma Jean Combs and her husband Don, Barbara Ann Thompson and her husband Michael, Sherry Elaine Warrington and her husband Kenneth, and Mary Jane Paul. He is also survived by his brother, Larry Joe Beckham and his wife Mary; his daughter, Bobbie Lanell Matlock, and her husband Johnny. He was a proud grandfather to Jessica Matlock Davey and her spouse Mel, as well as Daniel Matlock and his spouse Ashley. His lineage continues through his great-grandchildren: Jon Daniel Matlock, Connor Matlock, Cami Davey, Colin Davey, and Charli-Kayte Matlock, all of whom were a source of immense joy in his life.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Franklin and Mary Clara Wade Beckham and brothers-in-law, Steve Paul and Stevie Lynn "Butch" Alexander.

Visitation will be held on September 6, 2024, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Houston Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on September 6, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Houston Baptist Church with Herman Glen Franks officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Matlock, Chris Combs, Craig Combs, Scott Kelley, Jason Thompson, Jonathan Thompson, Timothy Beckham, Jonathan Warrington, Steven Paul, Adam Alexander, Andrew Alexander, and Kolby Alexander.
