She was born in Chester County, the daughter of the late Hugh and Loda Wilkins Carroll. She was married to D.L. Stewart. She worked as a cashier and clerk at various grocery stores and shops in Henderson. She was member of the Threads of Love Organization in Jackson.
She is survived by a daughter; Ann Petersen of Jackson; a sister Ginny Brewington of Enville; a brother, Thomas Carroll of Enville; grandsons Robert of MO and Mike of CA; great grandchildren, Mikayla and Jessica.
She was preceded in death by her husband, D.L. Stewart in 2002 and a brother, Frankie Carroll.
