Bobbie Thurston Stewart, age 79 of Bolivar, passed from this life Friday, November 21, 2008 in Bolivar.He was born July 23, 1929 in Hardeman County to the late Wilbur and Ruby Doyle Stewart. He worked at Kilgore in his earlier years and had owned and operated convenience stores for 30 years. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, was a member of the VFW, loved horses and enjoyed riding in field trials and attended Porters Creek Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Teresa Carter, Lisa Fawcett and husband Frankie and Cindy Baker and husband Howard, all of Bolivar, and Tina Bonds and husband Tommy of Walnut, MS; two sons, Mike Stewart and wife Andrea and Steve Stewart and wife Lisa, all of Bolivar; five sisters, Ruth Hammons, Betty Stewart and Linda Cranford, all of Bolivar, Dorothy Carter of Springdale, AR and Janie Shearon of Germantown; three brothers, E. T. Stewart, W. E. 'Junior' Stewart and Murley Stewart, all of Bolivar; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ann Stewart, who died August 29, 2002.
