Our beloved mother, Bobbie Vesta Bailey Robinson, entered God's kingdom on November 16, 2021, surrounded by her daughters Melissa and Clarissa Robinson. On December 25, 1949, Bobbie was born to two loving parents, Felix (Jazz) and Clara Haynes Bailey, in Savannah, Tennessee.
She graduated from Central High School in Savannah, Tennessee, and attended the University of Tennessee at Martin. Bobbie also attended Crump Vo-Tech and graduated as an LPN. Bobbie worked as a payroll clerk at TVA for five years. Bobbie was a correctional officer at CCA (Core Civic) from 1997-2020.
She was a loyal servant to God first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the warmth of our savior Jesus Christ with as many people as possible. She served as a youth and young adult leader at Graham Chapel CME Church, ordained as a minister in 1995. Bobbie was an avid and faithful member of Love and Truth Adamsville from 1997 until God called her home. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory two brothers, Johnny Bailey of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Larry Bailey of Savannah, Tennessee; two daughters, Clarissa Robinson and Melissa Robinson; one beloved grandson, Elijah Solomon Robinson; nieces, nephews, a host of great-nieces and nephews, one great-great niece, cousins, and friends.
Bobbie joins her parents, Felix and Clara Haynes Bailey; sisters, Susan Harris, Carolyn Taylor, and Myrtle Dixon; one niece, Patty Taylor; and two nephews, Robin Dixon and John Bailey.
