Bobbie Hawkins

Mrs. Bobbie Hawkins, age 86 of Pocahontas, Tennessee, departed this life Tuesday afternoon, June 26, 2018 at her home. She was the widow of Mr. Alex Hawkins, who preceded her in death in 2007.

A native and life-long resident of Hardeman County, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Neely Bevill and Cyrenia Margaret Shelly Bevill. She was member of the Church of Christ and married Alex J. Hawkins on September 21, 1948. A homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, cooking for her family, neighbors and the sick and taking care of others.

She leaves her daughter, Betty Wiggins (Coy) of Pocahontas; a son, Christopher Hawkins of Pocahontas; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Hawkins of Walnut, MS; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Hawkins; her grandson, Billy Wayne Hawkins; sisters, Jewell Curlin, Ruby Thompson, Mildred White, Martha Turner, Margie Hawkins and Mary Baxter; and brothers, John and Luther Bevill.
