BOB ROSS
Finger, TN: Robert William Ross age 75 passed away October 11, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born January 7, 1941 in Pasadena, California and grew up in California, the son of the late William Robert Ross and Mae Badgett Ross. He graduated high School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1958. He was an aircraft engine mechanic serving aboard several ships to include the USS Oriskany which has since been retired as a reef off the Coast of Florida. Mr. Ross retired from the Navy as ADR1.
He moved to Finger in 1979. He worked at ITT Grinnell, now Anvil for seventeen years. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a member of the Finger Church of Christ.
Mr. Ross is survived by his companion, Helen Louise McIntyre Ross and three sons, Patrick Ross and wife Mary of Jackson, Michael Ross of Missouri and Brian Ross of Henderson; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Leider of Oakhurst, CA.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Finger Cemetery with Tom Childers officiating.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
