Mrs. Blanche B. (Aunt Eve) Farrell of Bolivar departed this life at the age of 95 years, two months and 26 days Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her home.
She was born in Ripley, Mississippi October 4, 1917 to the late James W. and Pearl Hannah Bryant. When she was 17 years old she began work at a cotton mill and eventually retired from there. On July 29, 1950, she was united in marriage to Arthur Louis Farrell, who preceded her in death. She lived in Bemis for several years where she was a member of the Bemis Pentecostal Church. When she moved to Bolivar in 1987, she was a member of the Bolivar United Pentecostal Church, where she was very active and was known for her peanut brittle and fried pies. Among her hobbies, she enjoyed quilting, walking, and taking care of her cats.
Mrs. Farrell is survived by two sisters, Ruby Stanley of Middleton and Hannah Farrell of Bolivar; one brother, Hugh Odell Bryant of Counce; two stepchildren, Robert Farrell of Jackson and Maybelle Case of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Joe Willey Bryant, Emory E. Bryant, Murry Bryant, Catherine Rixie, Eva Sue Bryant and James Bryant.
