BILLY GLEN WYATT, SR.
Henderson, TN: Billy Wyatt passed away October 13, 2016 at his home with his family by his side, after a two year battle with cancer. Mr. Wyatt was born in Chester County on May 15, 1932. He was the son of the late Gavin and Delphia Wyatt. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Harris Wyatt and 11 children, 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wyatt retired from the Bemis Cotton Mill and drove a school bus 36 years for Madison County School System. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church in Henderson, where he served as Sunday School Director and Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Wyatt enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, going out to eat and being outside.
Mr. Wyatt is survived by 4 daughters, Bobbie King of Jackson, Becky (Les) Keen of Henderson, Ruby (James Ronnie) Briley of Springville, TN and Susie (Darryl) Ross of Pinson, TN seven sons, Harold Wyatt and Billy (Bitzi) Wyatt of Pinson, Jerry (Debbie) Wyatt of Medina, Glenn (Judy) Harris of Henderson, John (Kelly) Harris of Bluffton, SC, David (Susan) Wyatt of Wake Forest, NC and Thomas (Kelly) Wyatt of Converse, TX; 3 brothers, Jerry (Jewel) Wyatt of Henderson, Doug (Mary) Wyatt of Beech Bluff and Gavin (Gina) of Wildersville, TN; 2 sisters, Barbara Hollaway of Henderson and Kathy (George) Conners of Beech Bluff. TN.
He is preceded in death by 1 daughter, Billie Sue Wyatt, 4 grandsons, 1 great-grandson, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation will be Saturday, 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Sanford Hill Baptist Church, with Glenn Harris, Les Keen and Ronnie Geary officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will follow in Owens Cemetery, with full Military Honors.
