Billy Norman Vincent, 62, of Hickory Valley, died Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Collierville.
The husband of Shirley Ann Smith Vincent, who survives, he was an employee with the Jordan Company for over 30 years before retiring in January of 2006. Mr. Vincent was born July 9, 1943 in Saulsbury, son of the late Robert Cecil Vincent and Pearl Black Vincent and lived in Mississippi from 1969-1991 before making his home in Hickory Valley. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Byhalia, Miss., served as a Deacon and on various committees at Hickory Valley Baptist Church and was a former member of Victoria Heights Baptist Church in Victoria, Miss. His family states that “he was a good Christian man and a great husband and fatherâ€.
Services were 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Keith Hayworth and Dennis Callahan officiating. Burial was in West Memorial Cemetery near Saulsbury.
In addition to his wife, whom he married July 16, 1962, survivors include three daughters, Angela Passmore of Hornlake, Miss., Glenda Coston of Senatobia, Miss. and Vicky Solis of Saulsbury; one son, Billy Norman Vincent, Jr. of Saulsbury; one brother, Leon Vincent of Saulsbury and four grandchildren, Miranda and Carmen Passmore, Brittany Sullivan and Travis Solis.
