Billy Brenard Thompson
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 1, 1956 the son of Bobbie Jean Thompson and the late R.C. Luttrell.
On December 29, 1979 he was united in marriage to Cecilia Diane Oakley, who survives.
Mr. Thompson was employed with Praxis Industries as a foam gun operator. He was previously employed with Clayton Homes as a carpet layer, Brown Shoe Company, Savannah Electronics, Savannah Furniture Exchange, and he also did mechanical work. Mr. Thompson enjoyed fishing, hunting, working in the yard, fixing things, and working on cars. He was a member of the Love Tabernacle Church COGIC.
Mr. Thompson departed this life on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the age of 52 years, 7 months, 2 days.
In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Thompson is survived by a son: Carlos Thompson of Savannah, Tennessee; a daughter: Evelyn Nichole Thompson of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 brothers: Lamond Hottiman and Kevin Thompson both of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 sisters: Darnita Bradley of Columbus, Ohio, Jeanette Corbin and Joanna Luttrell both of Mansfield, Ohio; in-laws: Leroy and Johnnie Oakley of Savannah, Tennessee; an aunt: Ethel Irvin of Savannah, Tennessee; an uncle: Debric Luttrell of Illinois; 2 great-aunts: Mable Sevier and Wilma Bumpus both of Savannah, Tennessee; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his grandparents: Rosie and Robert White.
