Billy Malcolm Taylor was born on August 1, 1945, in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Jim Dan and Mattie Pearl Tucker Taylor. On June 20, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Ross, who survives.
Mr. Taylor lived in Hardin County, Tennessee his entire life. He was employed by Sand Hill Auto, Burdine Auto, Ronnie Smith of Savannah, Tennessee and Roger Motors, where he retired. He enjoyed traveling and collecting cars. He also enjoyed talking on the phone and socializing with family and friends.
Mr. Taylor departed this life on August 23, 2014, at his home in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 69 years and 22 days.
In addition to his wife of fifty years, Mary of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by three children, Victoria Luss of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Celest Terry and her husband, Kevin of Antioch, Tennessee and Candice Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Taylor K. Luss and Trinity A. Terry; three brothers, Nathaniel and his wife, Ellen Taylor of Germany, Emmanuel Taylor of Savannah, Tennessee and Frank Taylor and his wife, Carolyn of Savannah, Tennessee; four sisters, Virginia Taylor of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Jordan and her husband, Kenneth of Alabama, Dorothy Welch of Savannah, Tennessee and Sharley Tall of Nashville, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James E. Taylor.
