Billy Gene Sherrill

Services for Billy Gene Sherrill, age 69, Collinwood, TN, will be Friday, June 29, 2007 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel in Collinwood, TN with Andrew (Andy) Sherrill and Clara Sherrill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Friday, June 29, 2007 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home. He died at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, TN, on Tuesday, June 26, 2007.



A native of Lutts, TN, Mr. Sherrill was a retired timber cutter and machine operator with Champion International and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Frances Katherine Sherrill, a brother of the late Daniel, Lillie, and Omra Sherrill, Christine Tank, Oma McCurry, and Millie Morgan, the grandfather of the late Sara Sherrill, and the father-in-law of the late Roger Skaggs.
