Billy Gene Ray

Billy Gene Ray was born June 6, 1943 in Opelika, Alabama the son of the late James H. and Exa Brown Ray.He was a Truck Driver before becoming disabled and attended the United Pentecostal Church in Crump, TN.Mr. Ray departed this life on August 7, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 2 Months, 1 Day.He is survived by three children, Priscella Goodson and Melissa Mcleod both of Opelika, Alabama and Susan Townsend and husband Bart of Selmer, Tennessee; an ex-wife, Elaine McNeal McNeal of Selmer, Tennessee; a sister, Betty Ann Murphy of Opelika, Alabama; and two brothers, Lamar and Jimmy Ray both of Opelika, Alabama; 13 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mr. Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Arrant; two sisters, Aileene Weldon and Lena Pruitt; two brothers, Rudolph and Talmadge Ray.
