On December 31, 1963, he was united in marriage to Gala Jean Shappley, who survives.
Billy retired from Corp. of Engineers and enjoyed reading.
Billy Nolen departed this life on January 2, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 80 years and 21 days.
He is survived by his wife, Gala Jean Nolen of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Joy Faulkner and her husband Neill of Florence, Alabama, Henrietta Collum of Savannah, Tennessee, Margaret Cole of Florence, Alabama, and Joan Mitchell of Henderson, Tennessee; and a host of nieces and nephews.
