Billy Morgan McCasland



was born in Savannah, Tennessee on May 17, 1936 the son of the late Earl Sylvester and Etta Thacker McCasland.



On June 3, 1956 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Darlene Copeland, who survives.



Mr. McCasland retired from Reynolds Electrical in Muscle Shoals, Alabama where he was a supervisor for 30 years. He had also worked for TVA and served in the Navy for 8 years. He was a member of Mt. View Church of Christ, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers #558, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was Volunteer Fireman for 28 years and coached Little League Baseball for several years for his kids and grand kids. He was a very hard working man, a great Father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.



Mr. McCasland departed this life on Monday, April 13, 2009 at the age of 72 years, 10 months, 27 days.



In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Jerry McCasland, Larry McCasland and wife Martha all of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 daughters, Terry Hacker and husband Jim of Olive Hill, Tennessee, Jeanette Wilson and husband Lawrence of Tishomingo, Mississippi, Rhonda Bishop and husband Steve of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother, Marvin McCasland and wife Lorraine of Savannah, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren, Angie Wilson, Kevin Durbin and wife Tracy, Nicky Durbin and wife Amber, Bradley Bishop and wife Stefanie, Casey McCasland, Keisha Bishop, Colton McCasland, Billy Bishop and wife Kayla; 9 great-grandchildren, Chris Haley, Hunter Morris, Taylor Durbin, Jada Durbin, Madison Durbin, Carson Durbin, Rylan Durbin, Destinie Bishop, and Ella Morgon Bishop; 4 great-nephews, and 1 great-niece, Kay Slate.
