Billy Gene Kelley was born on August 2, 1937 in Henderson County, the son of the late Oscar C. and Ethel Meadors Kelley. On October 8, 1960, he was united in marriage to Joyce Love who preceded her husband in death on August 12, 1976.
Billy Kelley was a founding member of Sinners Hope Church.
Billy was the church greeter and he looked forward each week to welcoming the people into the House of God!
Billy loved his family and friends and wanted everyone to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Billy's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the twinkle in his eye!
Billy worked for Union Mechling Barge Line and was a farmer.
Billy grew a LARGE garden yearly and loved to give away the fruits of his labor to his family and friends.
Billy's favorite location to hang out during the day was J & J Tractor in Savannah, TN. They showed Billy the upmost respect at all times and he felt loved and cared for by each person there.
Mr. Kelley departed this life on April 5, 2015 at the age of 77 years, 8 months, 3 days.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Frank Eison, their son, Brandon Smith and his wife Georgia, and their children Riley and Aidan;
His son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Kim Kelley, their son, Hunter Kelley, their daughter, Hillary Deberry and her husband Lane, and their children, Emma and Traeleigh;
His daughter, Tonya Kelley and her children, Chloee and Tanlee;
His sisters, Edna Little and Betty Ann Collins and her husband Robert.
And his brother, Edward Kelley and his wife Nancy.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Kelley, and his sisters, Helen Rowland, Martha Jo Delaney, Alice Nell Kelley, and Dorothy Maness.
