Billy Windell Hunt

Billy Windell "Bill" Hunt was born July 6, 1932 in Madison County, Tennessee the son of Roscoe and Lela Mae Thomas Hunt. His family moved to Chester County when he was 14 and he attended Chester County schools. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Jean Cupples on June 12, 1952. Mrs. Hunt preceded him in death on June 6, 2014. He worked most of his life farming and in construction. He loved bird hunting, playing golf and spending time with his family watching his grandchildren grow up. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hunt departed this life on May 24, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 10 Months, 18 Days.

He is survived by two sons, Mike Hunt of Henderson, TN, Jeff Hunt and wife Leslie of Henderson, TN; a daughter, Cindy Cloud and husband Tracy of Henderson, TN; three brothers, Jack Hunt of Henderson, TN, Steve Hunt of Henderson, TN, Rusty Hunt of Henderson, TN; four sisters, Peggy Van Soldt of Fulsom, CA, Carolyn Burton of Humboldt, TN, Cherrie Pipkin of Henderson, TN, Ginger Hinton of Jackson, TN; six grandchildren, Jason Hunt, Andrew Hunt, Ashley McCullough, Shannon Reed, Brooke Welch, Beth Powell; three great grandchildren Madison Reed, Wyatt Powell and Jackson Welch.

In addition to his wife Mr. Hunt was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Hunt, Larry Hunt; a sister, Claudine (Sis) Hunt; a grandchild, Will Cody Hunt; and a daughter-in-law Debbie Hunt.

Services will be held on May 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Dr. Roger Penn officiating. Burial will follow in the Trinity Cemetery at Henderson, Tennessee
