Billy Louis DeShazier
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on March 30, 1955 the son of Billy Lee DeShazier and Katharion DeShazier Arnold.
Beginning at age 15, Mr. DeShazier worked at Shaw’s Restaurant and later as a cook at Wolf Brother’s Horsetraders Restaurant. He loved to hunt and fish and he liked creating his own recipes. Mr. DeShazier also enjoyed the beauty of nature and taking joyrides during the Fall. He was of Pentecostal belief and had lived all of his life in Hardin County.
He departed this life on August 18, 2006 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 51 years, 4 months and 19 days.
Mr. DeShazier is survived by his father, Billy Lee DeShazier of Savannah, Tennessee; his mother, Katharion Arnold and step-father, Joe Arnold, both of Adamsville, Tennessee;
one brother, Johnny DeShazier of the Childers Hill Community of Savannah, Tennessee;
3 sisters: Norma Wood of Savannah; Penny DeShazier of Selmer, Tennessee and Rachel DeShazier, also of Selmer;
his maternal grandmother, Nettie DeShazier of Savannah, Tennessee;
5 nieces; 2 nephews; 1 great-niece and 2 great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by one infant brother; his maternal grandfather, Louis DeShazier and his paternal grandparents, John and Bessie DeShazier.
