Billy Joe Cornelius
was born on May 23, 1938 in Hardin County, Tennessee the son of the late James Cavey and Betty Elizabeth Davis Cornelius.
On March 30, 1963 he was united in marriage to the former Carolyn Austin, who survives. Mr. Cornelius was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a foreman at Clayton Homes and loved to fish.
He departed this life on June 16, 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 68 years and 24 days.
Mr. Cornelius is survived by his wife, Carolyn Cornelius of Savannah;
two daughters: Rhonda Seaton and her husband, Greg, of Savannah
and Kristi Gean and her husband, Scotty, also of Savannah;
and 4 grandchildren: Alex Seaton, Kali Seaton, Carly Seaton and Mackenzie Gean.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 8 brothers and one sister.
