Billy Joe Cooper

Billy Joe Cooper of Waynesboro, TN was born December 10, 1950 in Lutts, TN, the son of the late Russ and Reba Louise Price Cooper. He was united in marriage to Eva Perry on July 19, 1975. Mr. Cooper, a maintenance worker at McDonalds, had worked at Murray Ohio Manufacturing and with his dear friend, Benny Mathis at Mathis Hardware and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mr. Cooper departed this life on Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home at the age of 67 Years, 4 Months, 17 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Perry Cooper of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Kathy Carroll and Stacey Battles both of Clifton, TN; grandchildren, Lexie Wells, Hunter Carroll, Nicole and Cooper Scott Battles; a brother, Grayford Cooper of Pulaski, TN; sisters, Edith Nell Butler of Lawrenceburg, TN, Virginia Griggs of Collinwood, TN, Denise Davis of Waynesboro, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by a brother, Richie Neal Cooper; sisters, Wanda Bunch, Judy Ann Cooper, Betty Carol Cooper and grandparents, Jim and Elizabeth Earl Price and Jim and Josie Pigg Cooper.

Services will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Keith Cagle officiating. Burial will follow in the Gallaher Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2018 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1:30 pm to service time at Calvary Baptist Church, Waynesboro, TN.

Pallbearers will be Bill Carroll, James Aaron Odle, John Andrews, Kevin Andrews, Tyler Andrews and Mitchell Skelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Staggs, John Austin Skelton and Tucker Andrews.
