Billy Wayne Connor, age 76, died Saturday morning, March 10, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Connor was born and reared in Chester County, the Glendale and Plainview Communities. He was the son of the late Robert L. and Johnnie Dorothy Linton Connor. He went to school in Chester County. He entered the U S Army in 1958 and returned in 1960. He married Brenda Wade in 1956 and they made their home in Henderson. He worked as a school bus driver and as a carpenter and built many homes in Chester and Madison Counties. He enjoyed watching birds, building bird houses, gardening, and fixing watches. He was a member of the Love and Truth Church.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Wade Connor, two sons Bill Bob Connor and wife Lynne, Brandon Connor and wife Jamie, two daughters Natalie Wray and husband Charles, Bethany Brown and husband Shane all of Henderson, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He also has a brother Steve Connor of Henderson and was preceded in death by three brothers Loyse, Neal and Jerry Connor and a sister Dorothy Ann Kimble.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Brother Ken Kitchen officiating and burial will follow at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Tuesday.
