Billy Joe Broome

Billy Joe Broome, age 65, of Savannah, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on Tuesday, August 5, 1958 in North Fork, Virginia. Billy was the first child and first son to Clarene Hanry Broome and Mildred Catherine McAlister Umphrey.

Billy is survived by his mother, Mildred; stepfather, Coley Umphrey; half sister, Cathy Frank (Butch); half brother, Scotty Peeler (Tammy); girlfriend, Pam Short; and best friend, Kenny Farris (Lisa).

During your journey on your final flight home.
White wings will carry you and you will be flown.

Billy had a great heart and loving soul. He loved going fishing.

In addition to his father, Clarene, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Peggy Broome; brother, Steve Broome; half sister, Carol Aday; and grandparents, Ernest and Lura McAlister and Clarene H. and Lilliam Broome.
