With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Billie “Jean” Littrell, who left this world on June 2, 2024. Jean’s life was a testament to strong values and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ.
Jean was born on May 28, 1946, in Wayne County, TN. She was the beloved youngest daughter of the late Eula and Coleman Martin.
Survivors include her Husband of 59 years, Elmo Littrell; Daughter, Gwyn Ray (Mark); Sons, Bart Littrell (Jessica), Brent Littrell (Christie); Grandchildren, Brady Risner (Adrian), Hanna Caperton (Austin), Kelby Ray (Ashley), Addie Kate Littrell, Tessa Littrell, Justin Horton (Charlee), and Jace Horton; Great Grandchildren, Dax, Cruz, and Daelee Risner, Heidi and Lila Ray, Stratton Horton; Sisters, Iva McNutt of Chattanooga, TN, and Frankie Ann Morgan of Waynesboro, TN.
Jean’s workspace career was with South Central Human Resource Agency as a bus driver and head start assistant. She will be remembered most though for her steadfast commitment to helping others. She, not only took care of her husband, three kids, and grandchildren, she took care of her extended family; her parents, sisters, nieces, and nephew. If family members needed help, they all looked to Jean.
In addition to her Parents, Jean is preceded in death by her Sisters, Lois Watkins, Nell Bevis, Lucille Keeton, and Lila Whitehead.
The visitation for Billie “Jean” Littrell will be held at Shackelford of Collinwood from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the Funeral Service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Brother James Paul Nobles officiating.
Interment will be at Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood.
