Billie Jo Clausel Bancroft was born on January 29, 1932 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Hurshel and Alma DeLozier Clausel.
Ms. Bancroft was a retired hairdresser and homemaker. She was also of Baptist belief.
Ms. Bancroft departed this life on October 7, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 8 days.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Dianne Ray of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Linda Bancroft DeVore of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; a son, Rick Cox of Flint, Michigan;
10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Betty Mahan of Swartz Creek, Michigan and Juanita White of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; one brother, Mack Clausel of Ypsilanti, Michigan and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Bancroft and one grandson, Gregory Lane.
