Mr. Naylor was born in Chester County and reared at Finger, the son of the late Edward Lafayette and Ora Frix Naylor. He farmed as a young man and in1942 entered the U.S. Army serving eighteen months. He began work at Salant and Salant Mfg. in Henderson in 1945 and retired in 1980 after thirty five years. He was married to Evelyn Weatherington in 1980 and they made their home in the Center Hill Community in Henderson County since that time. Bill was an avid gardener and loved sharing his vegetables with his friends and neighbors. He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church near Henderson, a member of the American Legion Post 90 in Jackson and a member of the Lexington Senior Citizens where he loved to play rook cards. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Weatherington Naylor; a step daughter, Sharon Grissom Grisham of Ft. Meyers, FL; two step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Lou Plunk of Henderson and Marie Kirk of Memphis; a special friend and neighbor Lillian Cookie Austin of Lexington.
