Mr. Bill Ervin, age 76, departed this life Sunday morning, May 23, 2021, at Maplewood Healthcare in Jackson.
A native and life-long resident of Bolivar, he was the son of the late Earmel and Georgie Mae Hill Ervin. He served in the Tennessee National Guard and as a volunteer fireman for Bolivar Fire Department.
He worked with Warner Ross Farms, the City of Bolivar Gas Department and Harmon Automotive. He also had attended Ebenezer Baptist Church near Toone and Piney Grove Baptist Church near Silerton.
A hard worker with a big heart, Mr. Ervin was a gentle soul who loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Billy (Pam) Ervin of Bolivar and Andy (Sonya) Ervin of Kenton, TN; three grandchildren, Megan (fiance', Quinn), Dillon and Olivia; three sisters, Betty Tosh, Dorothy Davis and Juddie Schnakenberg, all of Bolivar; a brother, Ray (Carolyn) Ervin of Middleton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a nephew, James Davis.
