BEVERLY SWOPE
Pinson, TN: Beverly Jean Duncan Swope age 73 passed away January 7, 2022 at the Henderson Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 27, 1948 in Jackson, TN, the daughter of the late Paul Franklin and Winnie Elizabeth Tweedy Duncan. She grew up in Jackson.
She married Roger Maclin Swope on May 2, 1970. They made their home in Pinson. She was a homemaker and a caregiver.
She loved the lord and was a member of the Pinson Church of God. She loved gospel singing.
She loved a house full of company and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was an excellent baker and enjoyed cooking for her family.
Mrs. Swope is survived by her husband, Roger Maclin Swope of Pinson; two sons, Bobby Joe Hunter of Pinson and Jerry Franklin Hunter and wife Tammy of Henderson; four daughters, Stacey Greene and husband Billy of Medon, Amanda Watlington and husband Alf of Peach Tree City, GA, Renee Lambert and husband Ronnie of Adamsville and Betty Blake of Jackson; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; four brothers, Paul Duncan (Judy) of Ripley, TN, Joe Duncan of Newbern, TN, Billy Duncan (Emily) of Henderson and Sammy Duncan of MS and a sister, Ruby McGlofin of Pinson.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Susie Douglas, Louise Butler and Bonnie Pollock.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 10th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Pastor Melvin Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery, Pinson, TN.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM Monday service time.
