Beverly Russell, 76, of Bolivar, departed this life Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
The wife of John E. Russell, who survives, she was born December 22, 1942 in Memphis, daughter of the late Gale Johnson Harrell and Hazel Beatrice Maroney Harrell, living most of her adult life in Memphis, and moving here in 1999. She worked for Elliston Baptist Church and Academy in Memphis as a bus driver and lunch room coordinator and also operated Green Slippers Florist in Memphis.
Mrs. Russell was active in the VFW in Bolivar and with its Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed playing catcher for her church softball team. She was a 1960 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and loved to play cards and travel.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on March 17, 1961, survivors include 3 daughters, Diana Gail Conner (Keith) of Virginia Beach, VA, Michael Russell of Adamsville and Amy Lucretia McCall (Sheldon) of Memphis; grandchildren, Amanda Crews, Maribeth Harris, Linda Conner, Megan Ryan, Danielle Marcotte, Shelby McCall and Johnathan McCall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ashley Ryan and a brother, Larry Harrell.
