Beverly Ada McCarter

Beverly Ada DeWitt McCarter was born September 14, 1927 in Hammond, Indiana the daughter of the late Omar and Ethel Leah Stetson DeWitt.She was united in marriage to John L. McCarter on May 27, 1946. Mr. McCarter preceded her in death on January 9, 1990.Mrs. McCarter was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bethel Springs, Tennessee and a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary 9982 in Griffith, Indiana.Mrs. McCarter departed this life on November 8, 2010 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 1 Month, 25 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (McCarter) Lindsey of Bethel Springs, TN, Peggy (McCarter) Jordan and husband Dennis of Tiplersville, MS; a son, John D. McCarter and wife Donna of Michie, TN; two sisters, Phyllis VanVleck of Indianapolis, IN, Sally Walters of Bourbon, IN; 13 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. McCarter was preceded in death by a daughter, Christie (McCarter) White; two grandsons, Michael Carrier, Robbie Neil Jordan; a sister, Patsy DeWitt Dixon; two brothers, Donald DeWitt, Edward DeWitt.A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Ramer, Tennessee with Ben Martin officiating.
