Beverly was born in Chatteroux, France and grew up in Surfside Beach, SC, the daughter of Archie B. and Nadine Perdew Howell. She graduated from Socaster High School in 1974, and graduated from Freed-Hardeman College in December 1977. She married to Frank Bradford in May 1976. They lived in Paragould, AR where she taught second grade at Crowley’s Ridge Academy.
The Bradfords moved to Surfside Beach, SC in July 1980. Beverly began teaching at Lakewood Elementary, teaching first and second grade. She finished her teaching career at Forest Brook Elementary in 2000, after having taught for 20 years. While at Forest Brook the school was a National Blue Ribbon School recipient. She was a Ladies’ Day coordinator at the Myrtle Beach Church of Christ, Ladies Day speaker on several occasions and taught Bible school classes at the church.
They moved to Henderson and she became a homemaker and assisted her husband, Frank at Mid-South Youth Camp. She was camp Mom to many of the children attending MSYC.
She was a member of the Estes Church of Christ, where she was Ladies Day coordinator and Ladies Bible class teacher. She was a member of the Freed-Hardeman Associates. Beverly was very talented artistically, and enjoyed crafting and sharing her created ideas with others.
She was a very dedicated softball mom to both the Chester County Eaglettes and the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions.
Beverly is survived by her husband Frank; two daughters, Olivia Lynn Bradford and Brittany Scarlet Bradford, all of Henderson; and her parents, Archie and Nadine Howell of Surfside Beach, SC. She also has a brother, Archie B. Howell, II and wife Kitty of Murrells Inlet, SC, and a sister Sandra Lynn Merry, and husband Keith of Brentwood, TN.
