Beulah Johnsonwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 14, 1910 the daughter of the late Henry D. and Bessie Rodgers Flatt.On October 26, 1924 she was united in marriage to Marcus Johnson, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1981.During her life, Ms. Johnson had lived in Southwest Hardin County and for 10 years Washington, Illinois. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church since 1923. Ms. Johnson enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, farming, flowers, reading, and writing, she had kept a diary her entire life.Ms. Johnson departed this life on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the age of 97 years, 7 months, 13 days.Ms. Johnson is survived by 3 daughters: Louise Durbin of Ozark, Alabama, Frances Counce, of Counce, Tennessee, and Shilery Keck of McDonough, Georgia; 2 sons: Marcus Johnson, Jr. of Bonne Terre, Missouri and C.D. Johnson of North Pole, Alaska; 24 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Marie Antis; 3 sisters: Eutha Dancer, Della Smith, and Earline Crabtree; 2 brothers: J.C. Flatt and Cecil Flatt.
