Beulah Wilson Brown, 94, of Rogers Springs, died Friday, March 3,
2005 at Bolivar General Hospital.
Born March 3, 1911 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late
Robert Leo and Margaret Sarah Harris Brown, she worked at the
Rustic Inn in Rogers Springs and owned and operated her own
store in 1966 and 67. The widow of William Roy Brown, who died
in 1973, she lived in Mississippi 1927-31 and was a member of the
West Memorial Baptist Church.
Services were held Sunday, March 6, at 4 p.m. at Shackelford's
Chapel in Bolivar with Scott Pearl, her grandson, and Doug Baker
officiating. Casket bearers were David Brown, Dennis Brown, Joey
Jackson, Richard Matlock, Franklin Shield, Adam Townsend,
Roger Townsend, and Aubrey Lee Wilson. Burial was in Rogers
Springs Cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Clovis M. Chamblee and Frances
Lou Ray, both of Middleton; two sons, William Lawayne "Wayne"
Brown of Bolivar and William Lonnie Brown of Rogers Springs; 15
grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 18 great, great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy William
Brown and daughter, Marie Yancey.
