Betty Jo Smith

Betty Jo McIntyre Smith was born May 23, 1939 in Marked Tree, Arkansas the daughter of the late John William and Ollie Eugene Smith McIntyre. She was united in marriage to Dalton Smith in April of 1966. Mr. Smith preceded her in death on August 5, 2002. Mrs. Smith was a retired machine operator for Angelica Uniform and also worked for Brown Shoe Company and Harwood Manufacturing. She was a member of the Rescue Squad and the FCE Club. Mrs. Smith also loved horses and animals.Mrs. Smith departed this life on August 22, 2008 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 2 Months, 30 Days. She is survived by three sisters: Aletha Henley of Stantonville, TN, Linda Smith of Stantonville, TN and Mary Carolyn Austin of Savannah, TN; two half-sisters: Ola Flatt of Huntsville, AL and Marie Bugg of Linden, TN; a brother, Doug McIntyre of Stantonville, TN; and a half-brother, J.B McIntyre of Selmer, TN.In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a half-sister, Mattie Sue McDaniel.
